Coming home from the week-long training at the camp, this li'l boy didn't forget his twenty-minute reading time that while he was resting, pulled out some science books from his shelf and read.

I don't just simply celebrate your reading milestone but everything about how you learn things from experiences, from books, from the videos you watch and listen to, and from your own discoveries and wonders too. 

I love to see and listen to your wonders and how you integrate your knowledge resources...sometimes I could hear you teaching me instead and I love it...I love the idea that me, being your teacher-mom, could sit for an hour listening to your wonders, answering your questions, and getting amazed by your sincere prayers too.

Our Kids are our Great "Because"

That great BECAUSE refers to... raising a kid and running a household simultaneously with working from home. Working parents can still make a difference...parenting is a priority and shouldn't be considered an interference to career advancement. Working full time and feeling rushed is an almost constant reality...working from home actually feels like taking twice the amount of energy... however despite all these, one can still work productively... and it means maintaining a steady average speed on few things and consistently getting the most important things done... Parenting is a Gifted Role

When you see your child growing, as a parent, you leverage your parenting in such a way that there will be more changed beliefs and attitudes on your part... and sometimes even when you feel hesitant to give up scolding, you still feel like doing so... then, after a minute... you find yourself charged with extra batteries of patience and begin to learn positive reinforcement, instead... you talk slower, gentler, kinder...and you see how your happy mood eventually changed your child's annoying behavior. He Just Built His Own Mini Pond

Exploring with stones, dirt and grass...plus the spare paint, he was able to build his mini garden well. One of my fears for raising a kid in the digital era is seeing this li'l boy in front of electronics for several hours and little by little adapting with what is common now among kids... swapping active outdoor play for a more sedentary lifestyle. Undeniably there's a decline in active kids...and I have this sort of thought... "back in our time then..." Sighs! Parents hope we can fully trust what's going on outside wouldn't harm our kids... the pandemic has added negative impact on our kids' well-being... of course parents understand the importance of encouraging kids to spend more time doing physical activities and active play, and away from technology.
