Congratulations Daniyyel!

Coming home from the week-long training at the camp, this li'l boy didn't forget his twenty-minute reading time that while he was resting, pulled out some science books from his shelf and read.

Nyny's truly happy with how you're making reading a habit, having realized its benefits as you grow.
Your choice of materials changes as your knowledge expands.
I don't just simply celebrate your reading milestone but everything about how you learn things from experiences, from books, from the videos you watch and listen to, and from your own discoveries and wonders too.
I love to see and listen to your wonders and how you integrate your knowledge resources...sometimes I could hear you teaching me instead and I love it...I love the idea that me, being your teacher-mom, could sit for an hour listening to your wonders, answering your questions, and getting amazed by your sincere prayers too.
Like all other parents, proud for their kid's achievements, I am to you.
You know what makes a champion and it's beyond being an awardee...regardless, thank you for bringing home 3 stars... Star Reader Award, Good Communicator and Artistic Hand Award.
More grace to you, love.

Congratulations
for your effort and for learning patience while you study.
Snappy salute to you li'l army. Indeed, you've got stars!

A Child's Big Heart

I believe that it doesn't need a certain age level or a huge bank account for any individual to do simple acts that could mean a lot. Last year, of the same day today, JD asked me if we would allow him buy some knick - knacks for other kids in the neighborhood. Immediately after hearing our "Yes!", he called up his Lola Mommy in Maryland and solicited an amount for his kids' pantry. Without a second thought, his Lola Mommy deposited an amount, funding the li'l boy's initiative. It quickly knitted on my heart joy that until now I keep. Every time I see this photo when I happen to do some unintentional browsing, I call JD to thank him for the gift of being his mom... His heart for other people heals some void in my childhood...it wasn't that I wasn't loved and cared for...that's totally a wrong notion...the void was more of wanting to help other kids in the best way I can but I had no means...I didn't know how I must come - up to that... right ...

In loving our kids, we find our soul

We, moms sometimes... kind of lose our minds when raising kids but definitely, we find our soul. Parenting's not just an obligation but a privilege and realizing that, it feels like grace is permissive to have picked and included us to do the role...and while our kids are "works in progress", we are too. We put some effort, time... all our resources in, and much of the love we can give...then we find ourselves graced with more because raising kids is a gifted role. #sidedishesofparenting #homeschoolingJD

Unfolding Realities of Parenting

No parent is always conscious and gentle, positive and peaceful...at all times. ...and I understand it takes practice to be conscious and gentle, positive and peaceful at all times. Under all the conditioning, whether trauma or shame, social standard or other people's expectations, You are the parent you aspire to be. Never doubt yourself. Only accept the role and be grateful for being chosen to be part of your child's inward-out molding. No matter what the world says, claim your sovereignty as a parent. You are not alone in this journey. Don't get drained. Gods grace holds you. Whether you parent with a spouse or alone, God's grace holds you. #sidedishesofaparenting #positiveparenting #intentionalparenting
